Child and Adolescent Mental Health Division (CAMHD) Wraparound Care Coordinator (PREA)

$40,000-$50,000 annually, salary commensurate with training and experience


Exempt, Non-Civil Service Position.  The primary purpose of this position is to provide care coordination efforts for CAMHD’s grant-funded wraparound program, Kaeru Services.  The program is focused on returning youth placed out-of-state to their home communities and preventing out-of-state from placement from occurring.  The program’s underlying mission is to strengthen families, increase community integration and to normalize life for these youths.



Minimum Qualifications


EDUCATION:  Bachelor’s degree in behavioral and social sciences, education, nursing, or social work. Master’s degree in behavioral and social sciences, education, nursing, or social work preferred.


EXPERIENCE:  Minimum of two years progressively responsible professional work experience in social services, behavioral health care, or primary health care.


LICENSE:  Valid Hawaii Driver’s License Preferred.

Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA) Requirement:  As required by the Prison Rape Elimination Act of 2003 (PREA), Federal law states that “….an agency shall not hire or promote anyone who may have contact with inmates and who: 

(1)  Has engaged in sexual abuse in a prison, jail, lockup, community confinement facility, juvenile facility or other institution.

(2)  Has been convicted of engaging or attempting to engage in sexual activity in the community facilitated by force, overt or implied threats of force, or coercion, or if the victim did not consent or was unable to consent or refuse.

(3)  Has been civilly or administratively adjudicated to have engaged in the activity described in #2 above.

(4)  Has been the subject of substantiated allegations of sexual harassment or resigned during a pending investigation of alleged sexual abuse or sexual harassment.
