Job Description

Lunalilo Home and Adult Day Center offers diverse opportunities for those interested in using their skills and experience to serve kupuna (elders) and to make a difference in the lives of others by providing compassionate, quality care.

 

We seek Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) for a full-time schedule (flexible for day, evening, night shifts) to assist the Nursing Department with the supervision, health status observation, daily activities and care of kupuna. Ability to work a flexible schedule is preferred

 

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assists in kupuna admissions, transfers and discharges.  Obtains and records vital signs.
  • Assists kupuna with meal.  Assists with before and after meal care.  Transports kupuna to and from dinning area.  Help residents with their belongings.
  • Support kupuna in daily living activities such as bathing, toileting, and dressing.
  • Assists in providing a safe and sanitary environment for kupuna (e.g. changes bed linen when necessary).
  • Perform specialized therapy and range of motion exercise/activities

Required Documentation:
  • Annual physician exam
  • TB clearance (2-step)
  • Criminal background and APS clearance.
  • Certification in In-Person Adult BLS CPR/AED
  • Certification in In-Person Adult First Aid
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to read, write and speak English
  • 6 months related experience and/or training in geriatric or long term care (preferred)
  • CNA Certificate
