COVID-19 Additional Surge Staff (CASS)
Human Resources Specialist
$4,252 - $5,600 monthly, commensurate w/ training and experience


Exempt, Temporary, Full-Time, Non-Civil service appointment. The primary purpose of this position is to provides expertise, guidance, and resources in all areas of human resources management including employee/employer labor relations, classification and compensation, and recruitment and placement as part of the COVID-19 Additional Surge Staff (CASS) Project to support the Department’s COVID-19 response.



Minimum Qualification(s)


EDUCATION:  Graduation from an accredited four (4) year college or university with a bachelor’s degree.


SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:  Two and one-half (2 ½) years of specialized experience in any one or any combination of the following:  recruitment, placement, examination, position classification, pay or wage administration, employee management relations and services, employee development, personnel program development and services and personnel research.


Master’s degree in human resources, business, public administration, or a related field rom an accredited college or university may be substituted for two (2) years of the required specialized experience.

This position is exempt from civil service. Employment in such positions are considered to be “at will.”
