We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support to an individual in need of assistance. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our client by delivering personalized care and support in various ways. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of tasks aimed at ensuring the well-being of our patient.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide patient observation and monitoring to ensure safety and comfort.
- Support clients with meal preparation and cooking nutritious meals tailored to their dietary needs.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties.
- Administer medication as prescribed and assist with care plans.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote social interaction and mental stimulation.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance overall well-being.
- Assist with mobility needs, which consists of lifting with a coworker.
- Document vital signs and report any changes in health status to appropriate personnel.
- Uphold HIPAA regulations to protect client confidentiality.
Qualifications
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, Alzheimer’s disease, or dementia is a plus.
- Strong patient observation skills with the ability to monitor changes in client condition effectively.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed for client mobility assistance.
- Excellent communication skills and a compassionate demeanor towards clients.
- Familiarity with cleaning protocols and maintaining hygiene standards in caregiving environments.
- Understanding of basic medical terminology related to patient care.
- Have an upbeat and friendly attitude in caring for our patient.
- Previous experience in caregiving, home health, or long-term care settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of first aid and CPR is highly desirable.
