Cashier

The Local General Store is part whole animal butchery, part bakery, and all love. We are looking for a weekend cashier to provide excellent customer service for the bakery counter! We are seeking individuals who are excited to work, support, and promote local agriculture. Must be available to work Saturdays and Sundays starting August 2026.

• Previous customer service experience preferred.

• Flexible availability.

Job Duties:

• Providing exceptional customer service.
• Taking orders and accurately processing them through the POS system.
• Fulfilling orders in a safe and timely manner.
• Stocking inventory.
• Preparing and serving coffee.
• Stamping pastry bags and boxes.
• Cleaning the bakery counter and keeping it welcoming for customers.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Must be at least 16 years of age. Applicants under 18 must obtain a Certificate of Age (eCL-3) from the Hawaii DLIR Child Labor Office prior to starting work.
• High school diploma/enrollment or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Must have TB clearance.
• Must have Food Handler's Certification (can be obtained after hiring).
• Able to work weekends.
