Job Description

A local foundation with over 100 years in business is currently looking for a part-time temporary Assistant for their communications department. This position will go through the end of September and you will work an average of 20 hours weekly. 


Addition​al Responsibilities:


  • Provide administrative support related to event planning. Duties may include contacting vendors, logistical planning, coordinating materials for events, organizing transportation, preparing supplies, etc.
  • Assist with post event duties, including but not limited to organizing thank you notes, dismantling materials, restocking supplies and running errands as needed.
  • Edit and proofread content for brand materials, publications, advertisements and designs. 
  • Perform other related duties as needed.


Required Education and Qualifications:


  • Previous administrative experience required. Events planning experience is beneficial.
  • Computer literate. Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with desktop publishing and digital photography is helpful.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly organized with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
  • Must be able to commit to the full length of the assignment and work occasional evening or weekend events as needed.
