Job Description

We are now interviewing candidates for a full-time Controller/CFO opening in Honolulu. The Controller/CFO will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities, including budgeting, cost coding, and reporting for a reputable company.


Applicants for this position should have at least 7 years of related experience, outstanding accuracy and knowledge of GAAP. CPA accreditation is highly preferred.


Additio​nal Responsibilities:


  • Ensure all accounting activities are in compliance with local, state, federal, and GAAP regulations
  • Complete annual financial audit and review
  • Produce and distribute financial statements on a monthly and yearly basis and utilize financial reports to provide strategic budget recommendations
  • Maintain organized, accurate, and secure financial records and enhance the accuracy of the company’s reported finances
  • Monitor all accounts payable, receivable, and payroll activities
  • Oversee contract budgeting and setups
  • Perform other duties as required


Required Education and Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field
  • Minimum 7-10 years of related work experience, preferably in the construction industry
  • CPA accreditation highly preferred
  • Knowledge of general accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
  • Proficiency using QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel and accounting software 
  • Must be familiar with budgeting, cost coding, and reporting
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Great written and verbal communication skills
