Cook / Food Service Associate

Hiking Hawaii Cafe is seeking a reliable and motivated Cook / Food Service Associate to join our team. This position focuses on preparing and cooking menu items such as burritos, wraps, pizzas, and sandwiches, while also supporting other café stations when needed. We’re looking for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in food presentation, and values teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook hot menu items (burritos, wraps, pizzas, sandwiches) with consistency and quality.
• Follow standardized recipes and portion guidelines.
• Keep prep and cooking areas clean, sanitized, and stocked.
• Assist with smoothie, bowl, barista, and register stations as needed.
• Maintain proper food storage, labeling, and rotation procedures.
• Support daily operations, including restocking and light prep.

Skills & Qualifications

• Previous kitchen or line cook experience preferred, but we’re willing to train the right person.
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently during busy shifts.
• Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Team-oriented, dependable, and able to multitask.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn across multiple stations.

Job Details

• Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Seasonal
• Pay: $15.00 per hour plus tips
• Expected Hours: 16–40 hours per week
• Location: On-site, Honolulu
