Job Description

Well established developer seeks in-house counsel to join its Hawaii team.  The successful candidate will review, draft, and negotiate various agreements (including leasing, licensing, purchase, sale, construction and finance); advise on corporate matters (such as insurance, tax, employment and other matters); study proposed and existing legislation affecting the company and industry; provide counsel regarding corporate administration; prepare corporate resolutions and similar documents; and anticipate and guard against legal risks involving the company and its affiliates.  May conduct or participate in litigation.  Will also counsel management and employees on a variety of business and legal issues germane to its residential development, commercial, aviation, retail, and food and beverage operations.

 

The candidate will be licensed to practice law in the state of Hawaii and have between 5 to 7 years of relevant development, financing and corporate experience.  Litigation experience preferred but not necessary.  Must be flexible, practical and business-minded with an ability to multitask, prioritize projects and present business associates with real-world advice.  Be driven to work in a dynamic, multicultural, diverse environment.  Some travel may occasionally be required.  Salary commensurate with experience.  Please submit a resume and letter of interest outlining your relevant experience.
