We have an excellent growth opportunity for a seasoned Data Analyst professional, who will report to the Corporate Finance, EVP & CFO. In this position the Data Analyst inventories, maps, mines and understands the data housed in various diverse databases (financial, customer information, inventory, sales etc.) across the organization as well as relevant external sources.  Acquires a solid understanding of the company’s business and applies it to understand the significance and utility of the data.  Provides Subject Matter Expertise for how related and potentially unrelated data can best be consumed by the company to inform business strategy, achieve operational efficiencies and be leveraged for predictive analytics.  Supports the development of a companywide data strategy.
• Works with organizational leaders to understand, inventory and map all data sources across the company.
• Exercises business acumen and acquires a solid understanding of the company’s businesses in order to quantify and maximize the utility of available information/data.
• Has the capacity to conduct analysis of data and various qualitative and quantitative techniques.
• Has the capacity to conduct business analysis of data and processes using various techniques (including process design, data modeling, and mathematic analysis) to determine the most useful methods for our business leaders/users to understand and consume our business data.
• Assists in developing standards for data element use for business needs, to maximize its utility.
• Analyzes, validates, and designs data models, structures, and processes.
• Evaluates data gaps (e.g., missing data or less-than-quality data) and creates potential solutions to address the gaps. Works with business units to identify suitable proxies for unavailable business statistics.
• Communicates potential use of analytical and reporting tools and their capabilities to business users. Designs business intelligence tools that create predictive analytics that move the businesses forward and improves performance.
• Prepares documentation, reports and presentations that effectively summarize results, assumptions and conclusions, in a manner that is consumable by non-technical team members.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or other similarly rigorous analytical academic fields and 3-5 years of experience solving business problems through qualitative and quantitative research, statistical analysis & modeling, and planning.  An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for this requirement.
• Knowledge of SQL or SAS or other programming languages to effectively manipulate databases.
• Demonstrated understanding of data (types, content reliability, etc.)
• Demonstrated problem solving, and data collection, analysis, and interpretation skills.
• Excellent communicator; able to understand what the real questions are from decisionmakers and able to convey the answers derived from analyses of available data in a clear and concise manner.
• Able to work independently, with the flexibility to both formulate a plan and execute it.
• Able to travel, both domestic and internationally.
• Proficiency in standard office desktop applications.
