Be Part of Hawaiʻi’s 2027 Legislative Session

If you’ve ever wanted to see how laws are made and play a role in shaping your community, this is your chance.

We’re looking for energetic, curious, and team-oriented people to join our staff for the 2027 Legislative Session. You’ll work closely with elected officials, witness important decision-making, and gain skills you can take anywhere.

Location: State Capitol, Honolulu

Dates: Legislative Session from December/January through May (Temporary Full & Part Time Positions)

Hours: Schedules are determined by individual offices, but most full-time temporary positions follow standard office hours of 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Some evenings and weekends may be needed to meet deadlines.

What You’ll Do:

•Organize & input important legislative information.

•Proof details on documents as they are being entered.

•Be the quality checkpoint that keeps legislative information clear and trustworthy.

You’ll thrive if you:

•Type at least 40 wpm and have Microsoft Word skills.

•Learn office procedures quickly.

•Enjoy working independently.

•Are available to work long hours, weekends, and holidays as needed.
