Day Porter, Janitorial

We are currently seeking a Day Porter to join our team! The shift is Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00pm.

SCOPE AND PURPOSE

Supplement the maintenance and management efforts to keep the community in a clean and orderly condition, which meets Douglas Emmett standards, and attract residents.

GENERAL OPERATIONS

• Consistently maintain a clean and attractive environment in and around the Main Lobby including cleaning of doors, seating areas, steps, curbs, sidewalks, and alleyway.
• Consistently maintain a clean and attractive environment in and around common areas, including cleaning of corridors, elevator lobbies, and restocking restrooms.
• Maintain clean stairwells and property as directed by Service Manager
• Assist Service Manager with special projects as needed.
• Immediately report any mechanical problems or vandalism to the Service Manager.
• Take weekly inventory of janitorial supplies and give a report to Service Manager.

TECHNICAL PREREQUISITES

• Projects a professional image by meeting all DE dress code standards.
• Ability to communicate in a positive and professional manner with residents, employees and vendors.
• Ability to exercise good judgment.
• Good customer service and management skills.
• Team player attitude.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Requires frequent walking, lifting, bending, standing, reaching and the ability to ascend stairs.
