Dental Sterilization Technician

Waikiki Health is seeking a full-time Dental Sterilization Technician.

Pay rate for this role is $20 per hour.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week

Summary of position: Sterilization Tech is responsible for maintaining sterilization procedures for all dental instruments and equipment.  The role is to provide support to the dental team in supplying and maintaining steady inventory of sterile instruments and trays. 

Qualifications and abilities

●     Education

○     High School Diploma or GED.

○     Graduate of an accredited Dental Assistant program preferred.

●     Qualifications

○     Thorough understanding of OSHA with current training

○     Understands practices and techniques of a dental office setting. 

○     Basic Computer skills needed to access electronic dental records

○     CPR/BLS and First aid certification

General Duties include but are not limited to

●     Cleans and sterilize all dental instruments and equipment in a timely fashion while wearing appropriate PPE at all times.

●     Comply with and share in the implementation of all safety, sterilization and infection control requirements, including OSHA.

●     Ensures instruments are in good working condition

●     Notifies supervisor when instruments need repair or replacement

●     Help maintain dental equipment per manufacturers’ recommendations

●     Other duties as assigned
