$7,179 to $9,167 (LHB1) monthly, commensurate with training and experience


Note: Hiring rates will be based on availability of funds, the applicant’s qualifications, and other relevant factors.


Serves as a practicing dentist, performing the full range of professional dental services in the treatment of dental diseases or dental health problems requiring corrective, restorative or preventive measures for the medically indigent, frail elderly, and individuals with chronic and severe developmental and intellectual disabilities and performs other related duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualification Requirements


EDUCATION: Graduation from an American Dental Association accredited school of dentistry.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Demonstrates knowledge of the principals and practices of general dentistry; oral surgery; dental hygiene, dental public health and the management of severely and chronically ill patients. Has the ability to diagnose, treat and correct pathologic oral conditions; perform oral surgery, prepare reports, use a personal computer, deal tactfully and effectively with patients and the public. Has the ability and willingness to work within an organization’s policies and procedures.


LICENSE: Applicants must possess a valid license to practice dentistry in the State of Hawaii.
