Developmental Disabilities Division Projects Coordinator

$75,000 - $90,000 yearly, salary commensurate w/ training and experience

 

Exempt, non-civil service appointment. The purpose of this position is to develop and provide ongoing project management and management of the operational functions of the Division’s case management information technology system and analytics suite of solutions called INSPIRE. The position manages and oversees large, long range, or multiple complex projects associated with developing and implementing INSPIRE and associated system for the Division.

 

 

Minimum Qualification(s)

 

EDUCATION:  Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four (4) year college or university in IT, Management Information Systems (MIS), or a related field.  (A non-technical Bachelor’s degree with four (4) years of relevant IT program/project management experience may substitute for the Bachelor’s degree in IT, MIS, or a related field).

 

Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university in IT, MIS, or Business Administration is preferred. Three (3) or more years of IT or management consulting experience is preferred and may substitute for a master’s degree. Understanding of how state government is organized and operates.

 

GENERAL EXPERIENCE:  Six (6) or more years of experience in IT program/project management and implementation working on multi-year, large-scale projects.

 

LICENSE:  Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred. A valid license to drive a vehicle in the State of Hawaii is preferred, or the ability to utilize alternative methods of transportation when needed to carry out job-related essential functions.
