We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Dietary Aide to join our healthcare team. This position plays a vital role in supporting our nutrition services department and ensuring that our patients and residents receive quality meal service in a safe and sanitary environment. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, able to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting, and committed to maintaining the highest standards of food safety and cleanliness.

Responsibilities

The Dietary Aide will be responsible for ensuring that all food safety procedures and protocols are followed consistently throughout daily operations. This includes assisting with the service and delivery of food trays to patients and residents in a timely and courteous manner. The position requires performing cleaning duties in the kitchen and dining areas to maintain a sanitary work environment. The Dietary Aide will be responsible for the proper washing and cleaning of food utensils, dishes, pots, pans, and other kitchen equipment according to established sanitation standards. Additional duties include organizing and storing clean dishes and utensils, disposing of waste properly, and assisting dietary staff with other tasks as needed to support efficient kitchen operations.

Requirements

Candidates must demonstrate the ability to follow detailed instructions and adhere to food safety guidelines and sanitation standards. Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain cleanliness in all work areas is essential. The position requires the physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 25 pounds, and perform repetitive tasks. Candidates should possess good communication skills and the ability to work cooperatively as part of a team. The ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, is required. Previous experience in food service, healthcare, or a related field is preferred but not required.

Education

A high school diploma or equivalent is required for this position.
