Dispatcher

Job Summary:

The Dispatcher is responsible for taking orders, logging calls, and coordinating drivers' daily and nightly work schedules. Assists the Operations Manager with other duties as assigned

Responsibilities:

• Prepare daily and nightly dispatches (work schedules) for all drivers and disseminate to drivers daily. Maintain, edit and update throughout the day.
• Generate PRF Job Cards and email to customers daily.
• Maintain seniority list of drivers and update on a daily basis for use by Human Resources.
• Track bare rental equipment.
• Apply for DOT permits and police escorts as needed.

• Follow all Standard Operating Procedures for the Dispatch Position
• Maintain and administer Subhauler files.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

• Minimum of High School Diploma or higher.

• 2 years of office work experience or equivalent experience in trucking industry, preferably as a driver or dispatcher.
• Knowledge of construction industry is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Candidate should be able to work well in stressful situations and have strong communication, customer service, phone and organizational skills.
• Does not supervise others.
