Emergency Medical Services for Children (EMSC) Coordinator (Planner)

$4,413 - $4,591 monthly (salary commensurate w/ training and experience)


Exempt, non-civil service appointment.  The primary purpose of the position is to plan, develop, and implement multiple, complex special projects, policies, and procedures through working with internal (i.e., DOH) and external partners toward assuring pediatric readiness throughout the state.  The incumbent is expected to address the requirements and expectations of the US Health Resources and Services Administration, Emergency Medical Services for Children State Partnership grant, including coordinating grant related activities and completing/submitting required documents and reports.



Minimum Qualifications


EDUCATION:  Must meet minimum education requirements for the Planner series.  Advanced degree in emergency medical management, planning or public health is desirable.


EXPERIENCE:  Must meet minimum experience requirements for the Planner IV class.  Additionally, demonstrated experience working on pediatric care or readiness related issues is desirable.


LICENSE REQUIREMENT:  Valid State of Hawaii driver’s license preferred.
