INTEGRATION SOFTWARE ARCHITECT

Epidemiology and Laboratory Capacity (ELC)

Up to $6,833 per month or higher, salary commensurate with training and experience

 

Exempt, non-civil service, full-time, temporary appointment. This supervisory position serves as the lead integration software architect for the Data Science Office. The position plans, coordinates, develops, and supervises activities related to the integration of software programs, applications, and third-party solutions to meet business and technical requirements. In addition, the position contributes to strategic planning, project implementation, and capacity building for the Data Modernization Initiative activity portfolio.

 

 

Minimum Qualifications

 

EDUCATION:  Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, health informatics, applied mathematics, statistics, economics, engineering, data science, information science, information systems, information technology, business analytics, or a related field is required.

 

Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, health informatics, applied mathematics, statistics, economics, engineering, data science, information science, information systems, information technology, business analytics, public health, or related field is preferred.

 

EXPERIENCE:  Two years of experience in enterprise architecture, systems architecture, integration architecture, or data architecture.  Experience should include working with large heterogenous datasets; developing databases; designing building, optimizing, and managing data pipelines and architectures; using traditional and novel data integration methods and technologies; modernizing data systems; building and deploying predictive models; supervision and management; project management; budget and planning; working in cross functional teams; solving business problems with analytical solutions; collaboration with business stakeholders, and professionalism and ethical behavior.

 

LICENSE:  Valid State of Hawaii driver’s license is preferred.

Recruitment is continuous until needs are met for position #123504.

 

This position is exempt from civil service. Employment in such positions is considered to be “at will.” This position can be up to a 24-month appointment, federally funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Epidemiology and Laboratory Capacity (ELC) Cooperative Agreement for the budget period beginning August 1, 2020 – July 31, 2024.  Continuation of this position will be dependent on a successful application for subsequent grant periods.
