This position is located in the Transportation Mobility Division of the Department of Transportation Services (DTS) and is responsible for overseeing the administration of the maintenance and repair program for DTS rail facilities (e.g., administrative/operational buildings and grounds, stations/amenities, transit centers, park and rides, landscape and hardscape etc.) and non-revenue vehicles. The position oversees Contractor personnel responsible for the maintenance of the facilities/equipment and non-revenue vehicles including predictive, preventative, and corrective maintenance. The position ensures compliance with facilities maintenance training programs, standards, and recommended practices, including regulatory and statutory requirements. Responsible for quality assurance measures and support necessary to monitor, review and analyze the performance of the operations and maintenance services Contractor with regards to facilities to ensure a safe, reliable, and customer driven rail service. Establish and maintain a positive relationship with Contractors. Demonstrate a commitment to safety that guides all aspects of work through consistent and professional behaviors in performance of the essential duties. Performs other related duties as required.

 

As part of this position's assignments, the incumbent will be assigned to activities which requires unescorted access to the Joint Traffic Management Center (JTMC) and will be subject to applicable State and Federal laws and JTMC policies and guidelines in order to access the

facility.

 

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:

Four years of professional work experience in transportation planning and/or engineering projects, one of which shall have been in a supervisory capacity, which shall have involved facility planning related to transportation or industrial activities.

 

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:

Equivalent to graduation from an accredited college or university with specialization in city planning, architecture, engineering, economics, sociology, public administration or a related field.
