Job Description

The Facility Manager (Caretaker) is responsible for the routine maitenance and care of the buildings and grounds. The position requires residence on the premises and must demonstrate ability in the following essential duties:

  • Maintenance Skill & Knowledge – Able to perform labor and related duties for building maintenance, including small repairs and handiwork for plumbing, carpentry, equipment care, and electrical, as needed.
  • Landscaping Skill & Knowledge – Able to perform labor and related duties for landscaping and grounds care.
  • Physical Fitness – Able to perform routine physical labor outdoors. Requires working on roofs and ladders, use of power tools, heavy lifting, and must be able to perform essential skilled labor to manage 11-acres of facilities and grounds.
  • Time Management Skills –  Effectively manage administrative and labor tasks, and capacity to prioritize duties for safety and efficiency in operations.
  • Communication Skills – Must use personal smart phone and company assigned computer to communicate with team, vendors, tenants, as well as members and guests. Create schedules and mangage essential adminstrative task.

Additional core functions of the position include security, cleaning, and leading a team. The Facility Manager is responsible to managing access to the premises and maintaining overall security; Cleaning or supervising cleaning; Planning site-use and coordinating event activity; Championing health and safety around the facility; Supervising external contractors; Managing site staff; Setting the priorities for maintenance and repairs with other management.
