Job Description

We are seeking Licensed Therapists (LMHC, LCSW, LMFT) to join our group private practice and provide outpatient psychotherapy to clients and their families struggling with addiction and other mental health challenges. The therapist is expected to meet with patients between 10 and 19 hours per week however full time is available. The provider will assess and evaluate individuals' with a variety of psychological diagnosis through the use of case history, interviewing and observational techniques, and will provide individual, couples, and family counseling. The clinician will be responsible for treatment planning, progress note taking, as well as working within an EMR and online scheduling system. Candidates should have experience providing individual psychotherapy and ideally be well-versed in integrative and family systems care, along with some familiarity with harm reduction psychotherapy. Transition to a full-time position is encouraged and available!

 

Essential Duties

  1. Collect information about individuals or clients, using interviews, case histories, observationaltechniques, and other assessment methods.
  2. Consult with other professionals, agencies, or universities to discuss therapies, treatments, counseling resources or techniques, and to share occupational information.
  3. Counsel individuals, groups, or families to help them understand problems, deal with crisis situations,define goals, and develop realistic action plans.
  4. Develop therapeutic and treatment plans based on clients' interests, abilities, and needs.
  5. Be exceptional at using rapport building techniques with clients to help maintain a consistent caseload.
  6. Analyze data such as interview notes, test results, and reference manuals to identify symptoms.
  7. Diagnose the nature of clients' problems.
  8. Evaluate the results of counseling methods to determine the reliability and validity of treatments.
  9. Refer clients to specialists or to other institutions for non-counseling treatment of problems.
  10. Collaborate with medical providers to support patient treatment goals.
  11. Document patient information using electronic progress notes.


Education
This position requires a Master's Degree and applicable Hawaii license.

 

While experienced providers are preferred, if you are new to the field, we have highly experienced supervisors that can assist new therapist in rapidly advancing your skills. Please apply if you have your Hawaii license and masters degree, but lack experience yet bring outstanding client rapport building skills.
