Job Description

A well-known local financial institution is looking for an experienced Finance Professional to join their team in Honolulu. This role will be responsible for a variety of accounting functions including but not limited to reconciling general ledger accounts, preparing financial reports, and implementing financial policies. 

 

The ideal candidate has at least 4 years of related experience, excellent analytical skills and knowledge of GAAP. 

 

Additional Responsibilities:

 

  • Reconcile and analyze general ledger accounts
  • Research and resolve any discrepancies
  • Prepare and maintain financial statements, bank reconciliations, and various other financial reports 
  • Research, develop and implement financial policies and services that align with the organization's goals
  • Perform other related accounting functions as needed 

 

Required Education and Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor's Degree in finance, business, or other related field
  • Minimum 4 years of finance/accounting experience
  • Excellent knowledge of GAAP
  • Familiarity with financial institution operations, products, and services
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines
