Food Safety and Compliance Manager

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Food Safety and Compliance Manager to join our dynamic team in the Food & Beverage Production industry. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring that all food safety regulations and quality standards are met throughout our production processes. Responsibilities:

- Develop, implement, and maintain food safety and quality assurance programs
- Conduct regular audits and inspections of production facilities to ensure compliance with food safety regulations and company standards
- Manage and update documentation related to food safety and quality control procedures
- Train employees on food safety practices and ensure adherence to established protocols
- Investigate and resolve food safety incidents or customer complaints
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve production processes and product quality
- Stay current with industry trends and regulatory changes in food safety and compliance
- Liaise with regulatory agencies and third-party auditors during inspections and certifications
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of HACCP and other food safety management systems
- Analyze data and prepare reports on food safety metrics and compliance status

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in food safety and compliance within the food and beverage industry
- In-depth knowledge of FDA, USDA, and other relevant food safety regulations
- Strong understanding of HACCP principles and food safety management systems
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and food safety management software
- Certification in food safety (e.g., PCQI, SQF, BRC, or similar) is preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
- Willingness to travel occasionally for audits or inspections
