Ginny Tiu Spay/Neuter Center Registered Veterinary Technician

Responsibilities:

- Assist veterinarians during spay/neuter surgeries and other medical procedures
- Provide pre- and post-operative care for patients
- Administer medications and vaccinations as directed by veterinarians
- Monitor and record patients' vital signs and recovery progress
- Maintain a clean and sterile surgical environment
- Educate pet owners on proper post-operative care and general pet health
- Assist with inventory management of medical supplies and equipment
- Participate in community outreach events to promote responsible pet ownership
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth clinic operations
- Maintain accurate medical records and assist with data entry

Requirements:

- Current state registration as a Veterinary Technician
- Minimum of 2 years experience in veterinary medicine, preferably in a high-volume spay/neuter or shelter environment
- Strong knowledge of animal handling techniques and safety protocols
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team
- Compassionate attitude towards animals and their owners
- Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Flexibility to work occasional weekends and evenings as needed
- Proficiency in computer skills and veterinary software programs
