HDS Foundation Program Administrator

 

POSITION SUMMARY

Under the general direction for the Director, HDS Foundation, serves as the HDS Foundation's liaison with grantees, other non-profit organizations and dental providers (private, Medicaid & community health) to develop and maintain relationships in the community, and to be in tune with trends and activities within the oral health community. The position will also be responsible for the grantmaking process, follow-up, seeking opportunities for publicity, and maintaining the grants management database, and leading and assisting with oral health initiatives.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·       Research and review grant proposals by gathering information, conducting site visits and analyzing information; developing and presenting analyses of grant requests to ensure appropriate stewardship of the Foundation’s funds; monitor grants in progress, review grants at end of grant period, and track results.

·       Develop relationships with grantees and prospective grantees, and identify organizations to proactively approach to apply for funding in support of our oral health initiatives.

·       Lead and assist with projects and activities related to oral health initiatives.

·       Maintains contact with nonprofit community and on oral health issues and events.

·       Assists with communications and public relations efforts around the Foundation’s mission and initiatives.

·       Maintains accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of all data within the grants management database.

 

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·       Other miscellaneous duties and responsibilities as assigned.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Education

Bachelor’s degree required or an equivalent combination of education, experience and training.

 

Experience

·       Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of public health or related experience preferred.

·       Oral health-related experience preferred.

·       Foundation experience a plus.

·       Extensive communication skills, both orally and written. Significant skills in organizing, analyzing, presenting data, reaching conclusions, and developing recommendations. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationship with a wide range of individuals.

 

Skills and Knowledge:

·       Excellent proficiency with applications such as MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Publisher).

·       Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize with some distractions and attention to details.

·       Ability to think strategically and to develop tactics based on that strategy.

·       Ability to lead projects and work with cross-functional/departmental teams.

·       Ability to communicate in small and large groups to a variety of audiences.
