Job Description

We are looking for a collaborative and experienced Human Resources (HR) Generalist to be a part of our growing company. This position will be responsible for performing HR-related duties at a professional level and work closely with the HR Team to support state-wide operations. Functional areas this position will be involved with include: recruitment, onboarding, benefits, training, performance management, and employment law compliance. The ideal candidate will be a major contributor to grow our talent pipeline, improve sourcing tactics, and increase employee engagement. 



  • Assists with recruitment and retention effort for all various levels of employees.
  • Administers various human resource plans and procedures and assists with the development andimplementation of personnel policies and procedures.
  • Participates in developing department goals, objectives, and systems.
  • Performs benefits administration to include employee eligibility, claims resolution, change reportingand communicating benefit information to employees.
  • Organizes and manages annual open enrollment communications and election process.
  • Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiencyof the department and services performed.
  • Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.



  • Associates or Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, related field or equivalent years of experience.
  • Proven experience in an HR generalist role or relevant human resources/ administrative position.
  • Excellent verbal communication, written communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent teamwork, multitasking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work with the pressure of regular deadlines.
  • Performs with a “sense of urgency” and possesses a positive attitude.
  • Proficient in performing basic and intermediate mathematical skills.
  • Proficient skills in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Experience working with PEO(s) a plus.
  • Food service, retail or distribution experience a plus.
