Job Description

Hawaii Foodservice Alliance is seeking an experienced recruiter to manage the full cycle recruiting process, sourcing, interviewing, and guiding candidates through the process. The HR Recruitment Specialist will partner with Managers to develop and implement both traditional and creative recruitment strategies to attract top talent to assure staffing needs and expectations are achieved. The successful candidate will possess prior experience with high-volume, full-cycle recruiting. Prior transportation, warehouse, sales, or retail recruiting experience is strongly preferred.

  • Manage the full cycle recruiting process.
  • Establish expectations for each position; gain respect from the stakeholders, learn the formal & informal sources of company influence.
  • Use best sourcing strategies and techniques; utilize market data/intelligence to drive recruitment strategy.
  • Find and attract the right candidates, establish rapport with potential candidates, promote cross-practice collaboration.
  • Effectively communicate advantages of HFA, overcome typical objections in hiring process, negotiate effectively, gain commitment to achieve results.
  • Present candidate(s) strengths and weaknesses; prepare team for interviews; advocate importance of a positive candidate experience; sell the opportunity.
  • Manage activities which drive towards results, not just activity.
  • Commit to quality conversations; respond quickly to questions; follow through on commitments.
  • Perform related duties as required or requested by supervisor.


  • Three (3) years’ experience in Recruitment/HR.
  • Bachelor's degree in HR preferred or equivalent experience.
  • A collaborative team and proactive consultative approach with the ability to think outside of the box and develop creative solutions
  • Experience using social media for recruitment preferred.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional organizational and analytical skills
  • Motivated to succeed; enthusiastic; does not quit if discouraged.
