Job Description

Hawaii Foodservice Alliance, LLC is seeking a Inventory Control Specialist to join our team in Honolulu, Hawaii. This is an exciting full-time career opportunity to work in a fast-paced team environment.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Monitors and updates master schedule to reflect inventory turnover, stocking decisions, forecasting and administrative controls.
  • Analyzes inventory levels, production speed, product demand, and shipment schedules to determine reorder level to ensure product availability and minimize inventory costs.
  • Maintains and updates inventory system.
  • Assists with annual inventory counts including pre-counts.
  • Addresses daily stock load discrepancies.
  • Works closely with Manager to control flow of supplies.
  • Reports to management and advises on process improvements.
  • Executes loss mitigation processes and protocols.
  • Participates in training other departments regarding inventory processes and protocols.
  • Compiles and writes inventory reports.
  • Performs cycle counts.
  • Addresses any problems, obstacles or challenges.
  • Follows all existing company policies and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as requested in a diligent and conscientious manner.

  • Demonstrates the ability to quickly adapt to changing conditions and solve problems immediately.
  • Shows the ability to work well under pressure, such as when inventory deliveries or shipments become late or forgotten.
  • Possesses effective written and verbal communication skills; displays reading comprehension skills.
  • Exhibits the ability to work well with others and maintain organization between cross-related departments.
  • Displays the ability to multitask and handle multiple issues at the same time without stress.
  • Displays positive attitude and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrates excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Demonstrates critical knowledge & skills including tools, software applications, language, etc.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Office computer applications.
  • Able to work flexible hours and shifts, including weekends, nights and holidays as required by the needs of the business.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business management preferred.
  • Minimum 2-4 years’ experience in wholesale distribution and warehousing.
