Job Description
Lead Cook Position for Mary, Star of the Sea Early Learning Center
Responsibilities:
· Cook meals for children and staff following USDA CACFP guidelines (approximately between 150-200 people)
· Knife Skills
· Maintain the cleanliness and operation of the kitchen up to Hawaii Department of Health food safety standards
· Able to take initiative and organized
· Responsible for USDA CACFP (United stated department of agriculture child and adult care food program) paperwork (On the job training)
· Bulk food ordering
· Ability to accommodate meals for children with allergies
Preferences:
· Experience working in a commercial kitchen or school kitchen setting
· Familiar with the USDA CACFP
Requirements:
· Food handlers’ certificate
· Reliable and dependable
· Time management skills
· Able to read and write English
· Able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds
· Background and Health Clearance (negative TB test or risk assessment current within a year)
· Team Player
Hours: (5:00am – 1:00pm)
