The Lead Telecom Specialist shall assume responsibility in the planning, designing, executing, quality control, and installation of inside/outside plant cable facilities projects and services related to the deployment project.

Military Installation Access: Must be able to qualify for and obtain a base access pass (successful pass of background check). Must be a U.S. citizen.
Clearance Requirements: Must be able to qualify for and obtain an active Secret security clearance.
Education and Experience: This position requires a minimum of Five years of experience within the field of telecommunications installation and a BICSI Certification is preferred. HS Diploma or GED & Technical Trade School, military service, or related experience is required, but a bachelor’s degree is preferred. Able to obtain industry and manufacturer certifications.
Travel: Work will be performed at various military base/post/camp/stations within the State of Hawaii (outer islands included). Occasional local travel may be required in support of this position.

The ideal candidate must be able to work at heights, off a ladder and in confined spaces, as well as be able to lift 75 pounds and move up to 50 pounds. Physical Responsibilities - Repeated and frequent ability to lift, from floor to above head 25 lbs continuously. Ability to sit, stand, climb, kneel, bend, lift, crawl, squat, reach and utilize both hands and feet in an aerial and underground capacity. Environmental Conditions exposure is heat, cold, dust, wet, vibration and very loud noise. Requires the ability to sit for extended periods, stand, bend, walk, communicate via telephone, computer and/or face-to-face contact, vision to monitor, and use basic office equipment such as a personal computer, copier and fax machines regularly during the course of work. Work is performed in and out of an office environment.
