We serve Hawaii Regional Cuisine which utilizes local products, support local farmers as much as possible, and uses modern cooking techniques. Position Overview

The Line Cook upholds Ocean Investments, LLC’s company Core Values, Vision and Mission. They prepare different food and recipes for daily operations and also assist other cooks with preparation of food. The Line Cook must always perform service to exceed fine dining expectations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare menu items according to daily reservations, following recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as set by restaurant management.
  • Follow all health code standards and protocol. Keeps area clean and well-stocked; keeps equipment in proper working order.
  • Ensures timely preparation of food for the restaurant and wedding guests.
  • Follow opening and closing procedures.
  • Assist other stations as needed
  • Other duties as assigned by the managers and supervisors.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
  • Culinary school certificate or degree preferred but not required
  • 1 – 2 years of experience in a fast-paced fine-dining kitchen

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proper knife skills and techniques
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Servsafe certification preferred but not required
  • TB Clearance
  • Must meet backgroundcheck requirements applicable to the central job duties of the position
