Job Description

Nakupuna Solutions is looking for a Logistics Analyst I to support Navy Systems Command as they undergo a a multi-year initiative to account for all Operating Material and Supplies (OM&S) property to support achievement of Department of Defense and Department of Navy audit readiness goals and objectives and to ensure compliance with Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness auditability requirements.  This Logistics Analyst I position is responsible for assisting the client in identifying material that needs to be moved to the new location, prepare the material for movement, verify identification of the material, move the material, and conduct fence line to fence line and wall-to-wall inventories to ensure the material and processes are auditable.  The candidate will gather, track, and process material and records, reporting on quantities of on-hand materials, and updating the Navy accountable property system of record with accurate inventory data.  The candidate will also identify material for disposition via eRMS and ETIDS. The position requires knowledge of the Navy’s business processes, physical inventory procedures, and experience processing supply chain transactions in Navy ERP.  Since client has facilities across the continental U.S., the candidate will be required to travel extensively to the various locations within their designated region.

 

This position is temporary for 3 months located in Hawaii to support the following locations: Ewa Beach, Fort Island and on Kauai.

  • Providing expertise in inventory/warehouse management, and physical inventory functionality.
  • Conducting material inventories and technical screening.
  • Validating inventory accuracy and reconciling inventory discrepancies.
  • Ensure compliance with established corporate processes and procedures.
  • Identify and analyze inventory control/process deficiencies.
Qualifications:

The position requires a BA or BS desired, high school diploma or equivalent required. 4 years of Navy logistics or supply/physical inventory experience.  Prior military or DOD/Navy civilian experience. Ability to conduct accurate inventories and research the causes of inventory discrepancies. Ability to lift material (up to 50 pounds). User knowledge of Navy ERP in a warehousing environment. Must be willing/able to travel to locations in the candidates designated region as needed by the client and to ensure successful execution of project deliverables.

 

Clearance Requirements: This position requires an active SECRET security clearance. Must be a U.S. Citizen.
