Material Inventory Specialist
Hey there! We're on the lookout for a detail-oriented and organized Material Inventory Specialist to join our team at Re-use Hawaiʻi. If you're passionate about sustainability and have a knack for keeping things in order, this might be the perfect gig for you!
Responsibilities:
- Maintain our material inventory data system like a pro
- Research and document donated and salvaged items
- Price incoming materials based on our guidelines
- Keep our staff in the loop about inventory systems and procedures
- Keep your work area tidy and organized
- Provide top-notch customer service
- Help customers with purchases and questions when needed
- Foster great communication within the warehouse
- Create a positive and safe environment for everyone
- Help improve our department functions
- Handle customer questions and resolve any issues
- Follow safety procedures and report any incidents
Requirements:
- Excellent attention to detail
- Passion for our organization's mission
- Basic computer skills (spreadsheets and word processing)
- Ability to learn how to use a pallet jack and forklift
- Knowledge of building and construction materials
- Great communication skills (both on the phone and via email)
- 3 solid professional references (sorry, no friends or family)
- Non-profit experience is a bonus!
We're offering a starting pay of $17 per hour, plus some sweet perks like health insurance, paid time off, and even a $200 material credit at Re-use Hawaiʻi. You'll be working full-time (about 40 hours a week) at our Redistribution Center on Salt Lake Boulevard.
