Job Description

The Membership Program Assistant plays a supportive role in the growth and advancement of Bishop Museum’s membership program by providing timely and quality data entry, letter processing, and acknowledgement of membership gifts received by the Museum. The Membership Program Assistant is both customer- and detail-oriented and demonstrates consistency and exceptional quality in his/her work.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Performs data entry via batch entry to process and acknowledge memberships through Blackbaud Altru, the Museum’s Constituent Relationship Management (CRM) program.
  • Performs data entry to update membership records for cleanliness as directed.
  • Prepares, prints, folds, stuffs envelopes and mails membership cards and materials to new and renewing members.
  • Assists with formatting mailing lists, renewal lists, and member recognition lists in Microsoft Excel as directed.
  • Complies as directed with all internal tracking procedures to ensure proper handling and reporting of all membership gift activity.
  • Shares responsibility for the accuracy, integrity and cleanliness of the database through quality work.
  • May occasionally serve as a contact for Bishop Museum members by checking membership voicemail and taking event reservations by phone and email.
  • May occasionally represent the Membership Program at outreach tables during public events to promote and sell memberships.

 

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree or 4 years of data entry experience
