Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Box Truck Driver is responsible for the safe and timely delivery of products to customers, retail locations, and company sites. This role plays a key part in maintaining strong customer relationships by ensuring accurate, professional, and efficient service while representing Webco in the field.

 

PRIMARY DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS:

  • Safely operate a company box truck (typically 16–26 ft) for local deliveries
  • Load, unload, and secure products for transport
  • Perform daily route deliveries to retail stores, warehouses, and customer locations
  • Verify delivery accuracy (invoices, quantities, condition of goods)
  • Obtain signatures and complete required delivery documentation
  • Maintain communication with dispatch and warehouse teams
  • Provide excellent customer service at delivery locations
  • Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
  • Report vehicle issues, accidents, or delays promptly
  • Assist in warehouse duties as needed (picking, packing, organizing)
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Communication, Physical and Mental Demands:

  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50–75 lbs regularly
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting
  • Ability to enter/exit truck cab multiple times per shift
  • Comfortable working in varying weather and warehouse conditions

 

Qualifications:

  • Valid Hawaii Driver’s License (Non-CDL required)
  • Clean driving record with no major violations
  • Previous delivery driving or warehouse experience preferred
  • Ability to operate liftgates, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently

Experience:

  • Minimum 1–2 years of delivery driving experience (box truck, cargo van, or similar vehicle) preferred
  • Experience in a distribution, logistics, or warehouse environment strongly preferred
  • Prior experience with multi-stop delivery routes is a plus
  • Experience handling invoices, delivery logs, and proof of delivery (POD) documentation
  • Familiarity with hand trucks, pallet jacks, and liftgate operations
  • Experience interacting with retail stores or customer-facing delivery environments preferred

Work Hours:

Full-time; typical shifts may vary based on route needs

Early morning start times may be required
