OLA HAWAI‘I/INBRE/RMATRIX PROJECT SUPPORT ASSOCIATE – ID# 18473

 

John A. Burns School of Medicine.  Regular, Full-Time, RCUH Non-Civil Service position with the John A. Burns School of Medicine (JABSOM), located in Honolulu, Hawai‘i Continuation of employment is dependent upon program/operational needs, satisfactory work performance, availability of funds, and compliance with applicable Federal/State laws. 

 

MINIMUM MONTHLY SALARY:  $3,632/Mon. 

 

DUTIES:  Assists in the daily operations of the NIH/NIMHHD Award U54MD007601, “Ola HAWAI‘I", NIH/NIGMS Award P20GM103466, "INBRE IV HiSREP" and NIH/NIMHHD Award U54MD007584, "RMATRIX" projects and provides primary administrative assistance for its administrative cores. Assists the Principal Investigators (PI’s) with the implementation of the grant objectives and coordination of annual internal and external reviews of all project's cores and projects. Assists with fiscal management, prepares annual reports, assists with non-competing and competing renewals for the project, organizes and facilitates day-long research retreats involving the project investigators and laboratory personnel, and assists in serving as a liaison with federal funding agencies. 

 

PRIMARY QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION/TRAINING:  Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four (4) year college or university in Business Administration, Communication, Biomedical Science, or related field.  EXPERIENCE:  One to three (1-3) years of experience in research administration or related field, including the preparation of reports, documents and publications dealing with the scientific, administrative, and/or fiscal aspects of biomedical research.  ABIL/KNOW/SKILLS:  Understanding of project management.  Familiarity with fiscal and administrative issues related to biomedical research.  Understanding of document and presentation preparation. Ability to summarize information and prepare reports utilizing basic computer statistical and graphical methods.  Computer competence with MS Word, Excel & PowerPoint.  PHYSICAL/MEDICAL REQUIREMENTS:  Able to lift up to twenty-five (25) pounds.
