Hawaii Foodservice Alliance is a locally owned food distributor in business for 20 years specializing in highly perishable foods sourced locally and from the West Coast United States. We provide staples (e.g., baked goods, fresh milk & eggs) and a variety of quality products to our customers (leading clubs, grocers, retailers) throughout Hawaii.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Design and implement comprehensive management and learning and development strategies, programs, and initiatives that align with organizational goals and objectives.
- Increase collaboration and engagement within Servant Leadership Training Groups.
- Collaborate with department leaders and subject matter experts to identify training needs and performance gaps across the organization to achieve organizational objectives.
- Conduct thorough needs assessments to determine the most effective and relevant learning solutions.
- Create and maintain training procedure manuals, guides, and course materials.
- Identify and develop management and leadership development programs including course/program content, facilitation, coordination, communications, and evaluation.
- Present training and development programs using various modalities including classroom or virtual facilitator-led training, presentations or on-demand learning management systems (digital).
- Utilizing and managing LMS software or platforms to track and deliver training content to employees, assign courses, and generate reports.
- Managing training schedules, including booking training rooms, arranging trainers or facilitators, and ensuring that employees attend their scheduled training sessions.
- Maintaining records of employee training and development
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development by promoting internal resources, self-paced learning opportunities, and knowledge sharing initiatives to help grow new generation of leaders within HFA.
- Evaluate program effectiveness through assessments, surveys, feedback, and analyzing data.
- Apply project management skills to effectively manage timelines, milestones, and resources.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in HR and learning and development to recommend innovative approaches to enhance the learning experience.
- Performs other related duties as required.
WHAT WE’LL LOVE ABOUT YOU
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Psychology, Communications, a related field, or an equivalent combination and related work experience.
- Minimum 3-5 years of progressive learning and development experience in business environment(s)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Extensive experience designing and implementing management and learning programs, learning aids and cultivating a strong learning culture.
- Effective leadership in measuring, evaluating and reporting outcomes.
- Ability to solve complex problems and work inter-dependently.
- Previous training experience with diverse workforces, knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- Willing to travel to neighbor islands (up to 5% travel).
- Professional certification(s) in L&D (APTD, CPTD), HR (S/PHR, SHRM-S/CP), coaching (ICF), and/or vendor-specific methodologies (DISC, Crucial Conversations, StrengthsFinder) preferred.
- Proficient in using Zoom and Microsoft PowerPoint.
