Job Description
The Consulate-General of Japan in Honolulu is currently calling for a full-time assistant staff member for Economic, Political and General Affairs Sections.

Duties 
Main duties are the following:
・Economic and politics-related assignments 
・Research and preparation of reports
・Arrange meetings and appointments
・General administrative work

Period of employment
Employment is on an at-will basis.
*Expected to start to work late September. Starting date of work is negotiable.

1742 Nuuanu Avenue
Honolulu, HI 96817
 
Work Hours
8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (Monday-Friday)
Holiday: Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays which are decided by the Consulate.
 
Requirements
・Have U.S. citizenship, Lawful Permanent Resident (LPR), or Green Card. (Must have legal status to work in the U.S. No support for visas and work permissions will be provided.) 
・English proficiency 
・Japanese proficiency is an advantage
・Proficiency in Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and other applications
・Have interests in working in a Japanese working environment and, ability and willingness to do research.
・Must have the flexibility to do occasional overtime work
 
Salary and Benefits
Commensurate with experience and subject to the regulations of the consulate.
Benefits include medical insurance as well as paid vacation days.
