We’re seeking an energetic, friendly, and detail-oriented individual to join our passionate team of professionals as an Ophthalmic Assistant / Technician
What You’ll Do
As an Ophthalmic Assistant, you’ll work directly with our ophthalmologists and optometrists to ensure patients receive quality care. Your daily responsibilities will include:
- Conducting patient workups, gathering medical histories, and performing diagnostic tests.
- Assisting with minor procedures and providing support during treatments.
- Assisting patients and other staff with daily tasks assigned to the department.
- Helping patients feel comfortable and cared for, especially our elderly population.
- Engaging in hands-on learning with advanced ophthalmic technology and equipment.

Requirements:
- High school diploma (or GED).
- Completion of Joint Commission of Allied Health Personnel in Ophthalmology (JCAHPO) approved ophthalmic assistant program (must be successfully completed within 1 year of hire).
- Completion of CVCH's Ophthalmic Assistant Training Program (must be successfully completed within 90-day probationary period)
- 1-2 years of experience in a medical setting or equivalent certification preferred.
