Pandemic Response Expansion Project (PREP)
Digital Production Content Specialist

$5,250 - $6,250 per month, salary commensurate w/ training and experience

 

Exempt, non-civil service, full-time, temporary appointment. The primary purpose of this position is to provide videos, photos, and other graphics that support the Department’s communications priorities as related to the Pandemic Response Expansion Project’s (PREP) community relations and communication strategies and activities.  This position is responsible for concepting, scouting, shooting, editing, organizing, coordinating, and evaluating communication strategies and approaches.  The position also includes direct interfacing with the public to identify and best represent stories and narratives to support Department communications campaigns.

 

 

Minimum Qualification(s)

 

EDUCATION:  Bachelor’s degree from a four (4) year accredited college or university in journalism, political science, non-profit management, public relations, digital media, communications, or a related field or any combination of experience and training that demonstrate possession of the knowledge, skill and abilities as listed, and ability to perform the work.

 

EXPERIENCE:  Five plus years’ general experience in video production and/or graphic design.  Such experience must have involved overseeing production from concept to final product delivery, video/photo shooting, video/photo editing, and translating complex concepts into final video/design products designed for public consumption.

 

Preferred experience in video animation, graphic illustration, motion graphics, visual effects creation.  Two or more years of experience in concept creation and/or overseeing production.

 

LICENSE: Valid State of Hawaii driver’s license Class 3 is preferred.

This position is exempt from civil service and considered temporary in nature.
