Pandemic Response Expansion Project (PREP) School Health Advisor

Up to $6,948 per month, salary commensurate w/ training and experience

 

Exempt, Non-Civil Service, Full-Time, Temporary Appointment.  The primary purpose of this position is to provide data-driven guidance for populations at increased risk for COVID-19, infectious diseases and conditions, and negative outcomes.  The position supports the development and implementation of policies, strategies, and programs to strengthen school health and for the prevention and mitigation of COVID-19 and other infectious diseases in educational settings.  In addition, the position contributes to strategic planning, capacity building, and program management for school health initiatives and projects.

 

 

Minimum Qualification(s)

 

EDUCATION:  Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is required.  Master’s degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.

 

EXPERIENCE:  At least five (5) years of experience teaching in K-12 schools, administering social service programs for children and adolescents, or delivering public health in childcare of educational settings is required.

 

At least two (2) years of experience working in public school systems; and experience supporting educational or governmental institutions for COVID-19 response is preferred.

 

LICENSE:  Valid State of Hawaii driver’s license is preferred.
