Job Title: Paraprofessional Tutor
Reports to: AHoS and Head of School

Wai'alae Elementary Public Charter School is seeking Para-Professional Tutors to work under the direction of certified teachers in the classroom and extended classroom setting. The position provides direct support to students in both the general and special education setting.

Waialae’s Beliefs About Learning are specific and we seek a candidate with a general understanding of what children need to successfully learn.

Minimum qualifications:

●  high school diploma or alternative to a high school diploma

Preferred qualifications:

●  48 college credits from an accredited institution, with minimum 3 credits math and 3 credits English OR

●  Associates degree from an accredited institution OR

●  Passing score of 459 or higher on the ParaPro Assessment 

Working Conditions:

●  19 hours per week

●  Must be able to work between 7:55 and 2:00

●  Exact schedule to be determined

●  Hourly pay is based on your qualifications
