POSITION SUMMARY
The Parent Partner Supervisor oversees and directs the work of the Parent Partner with their day-to-day tasks. The primary role of the Parent Partner Supervisor is to ensure that the Parent Partners have the necessary support, tools, and information to provide hope, one-on-one support, and mentorship to program participants by sharing experience with recovery/resilience and expertise in navigating systems and programs.
The Parent Partner Supervisor must demonstrate an active commitment to the EPIC ‘Ohana mission and vision, and to strive to incorporate EPIC ‘Ohana’s values in all aspects of daily work.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Supervise all Parent Partners. Supervision shall include, but not limited to, individual staff, volunteer, and contract personnel supervision, case reviews, periodic observation of service delivery, and ongoing evaluation of program effectiveness and outcome measures.
- Coordinate day-to-day Parent Partner activities by ensuring proper coverage, scheduling work assignments, setting priorities, and directing the work of the Parent Partner.
- Responsible for staying current on all new protocols and updates with program and/or contract requirement.
- Develop and provide training for the Parent Partner staff.
- Collaborate with all departments and/or programs to coordinate the Parent Partner’s time.
- Complete documentation accurately and efficiently, and in compliance with program and/or contract requirements and deadlines.
- Complete all required reports and other paperwork as directed.
- Ensure that Parent Partner staff maintains up to date records and in compliance with record keeping procedures.
- Assist in implementing and monitoring staff’s development plans.
- Participate in outreach and other meetings in accordance with program and/or contract requirements.
- Maintain a cooperative and effective working relationship with other providers and community partners.
- Understand the impact of financial aspects of an operation (i.e. operating budget, inventory systems, costs)
OTHER DUTIES/FUNCTIONS
- Perform other related duties, as required and assigned.
- Regular attendance, required.
- Responsible for awareness and adherence to all company and safety policies and procedures.
- Attend and participate at trainings, all staff meetings, and individual supervision, as scheduled.
- Recommend improvements and/or enhancements of job processes and work environment to ensure high quality levels of service deliverables.
- Addresses appropriate needs with Program Manager.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Must have a Master’s degree in social work, psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution and at least (2) years of experience in providing relevant services.
- o A Bachelor’s degree and four (4) years of relevant experience may replace a Master’s degree.
- Must have a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook.
- Must maintain an ethical, responsible and professional attitude and demeanor under all circumstances in person, by phone, e-mail and correspondence, in order to effectively and efficiently engage and maintain working relationships with families, professionals and other participants who are undergoing complex and crisis situations.
- Team player with a positive attitude and the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
- Committed to quality and performance improvement.
- Successful criminal and child abuse and neglect background clearance as required by state regulations for those who work with children and families in the Child Welfare System.
- Valid driver’s license, no-fault automobile insurance, acceptable motor vehicle abstract2, and access to an insured, reliable vehicle is needed.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Prior supervision experience strongly preferred
- Experience in navigating any of the child and family serving systems, preferred.
- Prior peer advocacy experience desirable.
- Individual with experience working with families whose children have been harmed or threatened with harm and in facilitation and/or mediation, preferred.
- Individual with culturally relevant training and/or experience specific to the community served, preferred.
- Experience with reporting and databases, preferred.
Pay:
- $49,000 - $54,000, commensurate with experience
- Position is exempt (not overtime eligible)
