Job Description

Looking for flexibility in your work schedule? Consider this temporary part-time Senior-level Accounting Specialist position for a small high-end company in Nuuanu. You will be working in a small team, so you may be helping with non-accounting tasks in addition to processing monthly and quarterly filings, generating reports, and handling various accounting tasks as they arise.


The duration of this assignment is at least 2 months, with possible extension. This position requires 20-25 hours of work per week but allows you to decide what work schedule works best for you (preferably half day between the hours of 8:00am and 6:00pm)


Parking is provided.


Addition​al Responsibilities:


  • Accurately process monthly and quarterly filings (GET, TDI, 401k deposits, etc.)
  • Navigate through accounting system to generate reports as needed
  • Process new applicants for drug testing as needed
  • Create semi-monthly labor reports
  • Assist with meeting preparation
  • Serve as the liaison between the accounting department and general managers
  • Perform some accounts payable duties as assigned
  • Support accounting team with duties as assigned


Required Education and Qualifications:


  • Must have previous accounting or finance experience
  • Previous HR experience a plus, but not required
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills - able to use mail merge, and update/use pivot tables
  • Ability to multi-task and effectively manage time
