Job Description

Seeking an experienced Payroll and Benefits Specialist for a well-known company located in the Sand Island area. This full-time role will be responsible for processing bi-weekly payroll for over 400 employees and administering a high-level of benefit programs. Qualified candidates will have at least 2 years of related experience and strong interpersonal skills. 

 

Addition​al Responsibilities:

 

Payroll Duties: 

 

  • Audit timesheets.
  • Enter and correct payroll data.
  • Entering monthly bonus incentives. 
  • Process garnishments, child support, sick pay, tax levies, etc.
  • Sort, prepare, and distribute paychecks.
  • Handle W2 verification and mailings. 
Benefit Duties: 
  • Administer health and welfare plans including medical, dental, vision, flex spending, life insurance, short/long term disability, 401(k) plans.
  • Serve as COBRA administrator.
  • Process monthly billings from insurance providers and resolve discrepancies.
  • Provide reports for allocation/billing.
  • Distribute benefit enrollment and assist employees with enrollments, claim issues, or plan changes.
  • Process leave-of-absence requests and disability paperwork.
  • Prepare and file form 5500 for benefit plans with IRS.

 

Required Education and Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor's Degree in human resources or related field. 
  • Minimum 2-3 years of payroll and/or benefits experience with strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws. 
  • Knowledge of Ceridian Dayforce preferred. 
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and multi-tasking skills. 
  • Effective verbal and written communication with strong interpersonal skills.
