Physical Therapist - Pelvic Floor

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Physical Therapist specializing in pelvic floor rehabilitation to join our growing healthcare team. Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients with pelvic floor dysfunction, including musculoskeletal assessments and functional movement analysis. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans addressing conditions such as urinary incontinence, pelvic pain, prenatal and postpartum dysfunction, and post-surgical rehabilitation. Perform internal and external manual therapy techniques specific to pelvic floor rehabilitation. Educate patients on therapeutic exercises, behavioral modifications, and self-management strategies to optimize outcomes. Utilize biofeedback and other specialized equipment to enhance patient understanding and treatment effectiveness. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient evaluations, treatment sessions, and progress notes in compliance with regulatory standards. Stay current with evidence-based practices and advances in pelvic floor physical therapy through continuing education. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of clinical protocols. Provide mentorship and guidance to physical therapy assistants and students as needed.

Requirements

Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist in good standing. Completion of specialized training or certification in pelvic floor rehabilitation from a recognized program. Minimum of one year of experience in pelvic floor physical therapy preferred, though new graduates with appropriate training will be considered. Strong knowledge of pelvic anatomy, physiology, and common dysfunctions affecting the pelvic region. Proficiency in performing internal pelvic floor assessments and manual therapy techniques. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to discuss sensitive topics professionally and compassionately. Demonstrated ability to create a comfortable, safe environment for patients of diverse backgrounds. Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency with electronic medical records systems. Current CPR certification. Ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team.
