$9,088 - $25,570 monthly, commensurate with training and experience


Permanent, civil service appointment. The Developmental Disabilities Division (DDD) assures there is a comprehensive statewide system of supports and services for persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities, based on fostering partnerships and provision of quality person-centered and family-focused services that promote self-determination and community integration.


This position is the DDD Medical Director, DDD’s senior clinical leader. It provides advice to the DDD Administrator on a broad range of clinical, clinical policy, programmatic, and strategic issues. The position plans, directs, administers, and oversees the work of the Clinical & Eligibility Determination Staff and the Clinical Interdisciplinary Team – providing leadership, mentoring, and supervision. It provides leadership for effective clinical and practice consultation to DDD staff that will result in the best possible life outcomes for DDD participants and their families. The Medical Director is part of DDD’s overall leadership team and participates in the development and administration of ongoing activities involving quality improvement, policies and procedures, strategic and operational plans, process improvements, and clinical program development. 



 Minimum Qualification


EXPERIENCE: Some positions require work experience as a physician. Some positions may require experience in a specialized field of medicine.
