Pick-ups Trucker

Are you ready to join a dynamic team dedicated to sustainability and community service? Re-use Hawai'i is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Pick-ups Trucker to help us in our mission of reducing waste and promoting reuse on Oahu. This exciting opportunity allows you to play a crucial role in transporting donated materials from our community pick-up program to our Redistribution Center.

Responsibilities:

• Drive, load, and unload Re-use Hawai'i vehicles with care and efficiency
• Perform deliveries of materials for Redistribution customers
• Pick up donated materials from our community pick-up program
• Provide excellent customer service while representing our organization's values
• Maintain our vehicle fleet and equipment
• Conduct daily safety inspections of trucking equipment and take corrective action as needed
• Track vehicle and equipment inspections/maintenance using the Whiparound app
• Assist in coordinating vehicle and equipment repairs
• Ensure safe stacking, organization, and securing of building materials before transport
• Transport materials from Deconstruction job sites as needed
• Perform supply runs when required

Requirements:

• Valid driver's license and clean driving abstract (CDL not required)
• Experience driving cab-over flatbed trucks and box trucks
• Thorough knowledge of Oahu roadways
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• High proficiency using hand and power tools
• Reliable, responsible, accountable, honest, organized, and efficient
• Strong commitment to Re-use Hawai'i's mission
