Position Overview: 

The Prep Cook upholds Ocean Investments, LLC’s company Core Values, Vision and Mission.  Prepares different foods and recipes for daily operations. Assists the other cooks with preparation of food orders.  The Prep Cook must always perform service to exceed fine dining expectations. The Prep Cook must assist all stations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare menu items and ingredients according to daily reservations, following recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as set by restaurant management.
• Follow all health code standards and protocol. Keeps area clean and well-stocked; keeps equipment in proper working order.
• Ensures timely preparation of food for the restaurant and wedding guests.
• Follow opening and closing procedures.
• Assist Line Cooks and all stations as needed.
• Other duties as assigned by the managers and supervisors.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
• 1  year of experience in a fast-paced fine-dining kitchen

Skills and Qualifications:

• Proper knife skills and techniques
• Excellent communications skills
• Servsafe certification preferred but not required 
• TB Clearance
